Dirt content is held at or below 0.10% and ash at or below 0.75%, with Mooney viscosity centred at 61. Tire makers use SIR 10 in tread and sidewall recipes where compound consistency and filler dispersion matter.
SIR 20 is the volume tire grade with dirt at or below 0.16%. SIR 10 tightens dirt and ash for premium lines that justify a higher unit cost. Both share the same bale format and container MOQ, so plants can trial SIR 10 on one mixer without changing handling equipment.
