SIR CV Constant Viscosity TSR

Narrow Mooney band TSR for industrial mixing and automated weighing lines.

SIR CV (constant viscosity) is produced for industrial compounders who cannot tolerate Mooney drift between lots. PRI is at or above 60 and Mooney ML (1+4) at 100 °C is held at 60 plus or minus 5 with the constant-viscosity designation on the specification sheet. Production is scheduled rather than spot stock, so lead times run three to four weeks.

Why constant viscosity matters

Automated tire and industrial lines set mixer energy input based on expected Mooney. When viscosity swings lot to lot, fill weights and cure times shift. SIR CV narrows that band so SPC limits hold without constant recipe tweaks. It is not a substitute for SIR 10 on premium tread; it is a processing stability grade.

Scheduled production and lead time

CV grades are milled to order against confirmed contracts. Plan three to four weeks from order to FOB loading. Quarterly call-off programmes help industrial buyers align arrivals with production campaigns without holding excess warehouse stock.

Key specifications

Dirt at or below 0.10%, ash at or below 0.75%, volatile matter at or below 0.80%, PRI at or above 60, Mooney ML (1+4) at 100 °C of 60 plus or minus 5 with constant viscosity noted. Nitrogen is not published on this grade; confirm any extra parameters on the enquiry form.

SIR CV FAQ

Constant viscosity TSR for industrial compounders.

When should a buyer specify SIR CV instead of standard SIR 20 TSR?

Choose SIR CV when automated mixing lines need Mooney viscosity inside a narrow band and PRI at or above 60 for oxidative stability. Standard SIR 20 is cheaper for bulk tire volume where wider Mooney tolerance is acceptable.

What Mooney tolerance defines Indonesian SIR CV constant viscosity lots?

ML (1+4) at 100 °C of 60 plus or minus 5 with constant viscosity marked on the COA. PRI is at or above 60. Dirt is at or below 0.10% and ash at or below 0.75% on the same report.

How long is lead time on SIR CV scheduled production orders?

Typically three to four weeks from confirmed order to FOB loading because CV bales are milled to contract rather than pulled from open stock. Standing quarterly programmes reduce scheduling risk for industrial buyers.

Which industrial applications use SIR CV natural rubber from Indonesia?

Conveyor belting, engineered moulded goods, rubber rollers, and adhesive masterbatches where batch-to-batch viscosity stability matters more than premium tread character. SIR CV is an industrial processing grade, not a smoked-sheet replacement.
