SIR CV (constant viscosity) is produced for industrial compounders who cannot tolerate Mooney drift between lots. PRI is at or above 60 and Mooney ML (1+4) at 100 °C is held at 60 plus or minus 5 with the constant-viscosity designation on the specification sheet. Production is scheduled rather than spot stock, so lead times run three to four weeks.
Automated tire and industrial lines set mixer energy input based on expected Mooney. When viscosity swings lot to lot, fill weights and cure times shift. SIR CV narrows that band so SPC limits hold without constant recipe tweaks. It is not a substitute for SIR 10 on premium tread; it is a processing stability grade.

Choose SIR CV when automated mixing lines need Mooney viscosity inside a narrow band and PRI at or above 60 for oxidative stability. Standard SIR 20 is cheaper for bulk tire volume where wider Mooney tolerance is acceptable.
