Product overview

RSS 1 is the premium smoked-sheet grade for industrial and specialty compounds that need the tightest dirt and ash limits in the RSS family. PRI is at or above 60. Sheets are visually graded to Green Book RSS 1 and packed at 33.33 kg in wooden crates. Seasonal volume can limit availability.

RSS 1 laboratory limits

Dirt at or below 0.05%, ash at or below 0.50%, volatile matter at or below 0.80%, nitrogen at or below 0.60%, PRI at or above 60. Green Book RSS 1 visual grading is completed before laboratory release.

Industrial and specialty uses

Engineered mouldings, pharmaceutical rubber, and high-end industrial goods where cleanliness outweighs tire-volume economics. Not a substitute for RSS 3 tire tread when only standard sheet is required.

Lead time and packing

33.33 kg sheets in wooden crates, 19.6 MT per container. Lead time three to four weeks when seasonal volume is limited. FOB Belawan with full export documentation.

Frequently asked questions

Ordering, samples, shipping, and payment, answered by our export desk.

What dirt limit defines RSS 1 premium smoked sheet on this page?

Dirt at or below 0.05% (w/w) with ash at or below 0.50% on the export COA. These are the tightest limits in our smoked-sheet catalogue and justify the premium over RSS 3 tire grade.

Which industrial buyers specify RSS 1 instead of TSR or RSS 3?

Engineered mouldings, pharmaceutical rubber components, and specialty goods where raw-material specs name Green Book RSS 1 explicitly. RSS 1 is an industrial premium grade, not a high-volume tire material.

Why can RSS 1 sheet need three to four weeks lead time?

Premium sheet output is limited by seasonal tapping and smoking capacity. Quarterly contracts secure allocation. RSS 3 tire-grade sheet typically ships faster when mills have open capacity.

When should I choose RSS 1 over RSS 3 smoked sheet?

Choose RSS 1 when dirt must be at or below 0.05% and PRI at or above 60. Choose RSS 3 for standard tire tread where Green Book RSS 3 limits are sufficient and unit cost matters more.
